Frequently Asked Questions

What is a sample itinerary?

Day 1: Arrivals in afternoon/check-in at a four-star hotel in Piedmont. Welcome aperitivos and casual dinner at nearby village with a local winemaker as our guest.

Day 2: VIP access to our first winery and lunch at a very small family run trattoria that offers the area’s best selection of wines and bubbles. Afternoon free time at the hotel to explore neighboring villages or just relax. Dinner at nearby cooking school.

Day 3: Today we have VIP access to one of Barbaresco’s most famous wineries where we get firsthand experience in the vineyards! We’ll also have a picnic lunch Italian style before we leave this gorgeous vineyard. Tonight’s dinner is at THE restaurant in Piedmont. It’s our most formal at a Michelin star restaurant complete with a tour of the restaurant’s wine cellar.

Day 4: Exclusive access to one of the most famous wineries in the heart of Alba followed by a lunch in town. Spend the afternoon with us - shopping, sightseeing, visiting a wine bar, enjoying our favorite gelateria or head back to hotel. The farewell evening will be at our five-star resort with cocktails in the hotel library followed by tasting menu at the restaurant. We’ll end the evening outside at the firepit.

Day 5: After breakfast, guests will head to the airport.

What does the price NOT include?

International roundtrip airfare; transfers to/from the airport; travel insurance; activities not included in the trip itinerary; hotel incidentals including room service, laundry service, personal hotel bar tabs; additional food and beverages, extra wine purchases, and spa treatments are not included in the itinerary.

What else is there to do in Piedmont?

Piedmont is a wonderful region to hike, ride bikes (or ebikes) and play tennis. Based on our guests, we can arrange these activities into the itinerary.

What is the arrival & departure details?

We recommend that you arrive in Milan on or before the day the tour begins. Check-in is at 3pm at our first hotel. You can coordinate with the hotel directly regarding your transfers and our staff will be in the hotel lobby to welcome you.

Can I extend my trip before/after?

Yes, of course! If you want to stay at either property before or after, we will make arrangements (based on availability).

Who will be joining us?

Our small group include your hosts Rachel Imbrogno, Michelle Imbrogno Miller from Culinary Wine Camp and wine store owner. For this wine and culinary trip, you can expect to be joined by a diverse group of like-minded people who share your passion for the food, wine, and traditions of Italy – including solo travelers, couples and friends traveling together. This trip is recommended for travelers aged 21 and above.

Who is leading this trip?

This trip is led by our Culinary Wine Camp founders Michelle Imbrogno Miller and Rachel Imbrogno and a wine store owner. Rachel is a wine expert (with over 20 year experience each) and will tour us through the Piedmont region. We’ll be joined throughout our adventure by local guides and winemakers who are deeply knowledgeable.

What travel documents are needed?

You are required to have a passport which is recommended to be valid for six months after your travels are over.

Do I need travel insurance?

We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance. Travel insurance allows you to seek reimbursement for your trip costs; if your trip plans change for unforeseeable reasons, or if you need to get medical help, emergency transport, and for theft, loss or damage of items while traveling.

What if I want a higher-level room?

Please let us know and based on availability, the hotels can accommodate. A supplemental fee will apply.

What if I don’t want to attend one of the activities or meals?

We totally get it – sometimes you just need some me time on vacation and that is totally fine. All we ask is that you let us know as far in advance as you can, as we are counting you in on all our activities.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

What is the cancellation policy?

You may cancel on or before November 1, 2026 and receive a full refund minus a $1,000 per person service fee. If you cancel on or after November 2, 2026 there is a 50% cancellation fee. On or after January 1, 2027, there is a 100% cancellation fee. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance as we cannot make exceptions to this policy in cases of family/medical emergency or cases of the trip being canceled (Reach out for Terms and conditions).
